For many years now BeFree Tantra has celebrated the turn of the year with “New Year’s Eve Tantra” at Gut Frohberg, which is just outside of Meissen (near Dresden). The traditional four-sided farm complex is beautifully situated atop a small hill.
Participants are accommodated in double rooms. Accommodation in a single room is possible at extra charge. Don’t worry about a perhaps seemingly long journey – carpooling among participants makes the trip seem to fly.

- Tantra on New Year’s Eve: seminar hall
For almost 10 years the BeFree Tantra seminar on New Year’s Eve has taken place in Gut Frohberg near Meissen (near Dresden). Participants not only arrive from all over Germany, but the BeFree Tantra seminar highlight of the year is an attraction for those from adjacent countries as well.
The New Year’s Eve Tantra group of 2008/2009 had 78 participants. As always, we paid attention to the balance between women and men. The optimal support could be achieved through the offering of three small groups in the afternoon which were led by three different seminar teachers.

Gut Frohberg is captivating, especially with snow. All around the building there are plenty of opportunities for walks. Often the lake is frozen. The yard is cornered by four large buildings, so that even with full house, one has the impression of wide spaces and generous freedom. Again this year many participants stayed over from the Christmas seminar (same place, no tantra) for the New Year’s Eve Tantra seminar. Others arrived early or added a few days’ stay. On departure day, everybody who added an extra night joins our tradition of eating out at the Burgkeller in Meissen – a nice way to wind up the time with each other and with the seminar leader Regina Heckert.

- Tantra on New Year’s Eve: Dance and Celebration
The change over to the new year was very special this time. As the Tantra seminar of New Year’s Eve started on December 31st this time, there wasn’t much time to prepare the New Year’s Eve party, as New Year’s Eve was already on the first ritual evening. As participants hadn’t gotten as close as usual by New Year’s Eve, the ritual of the magnetic poles was just right. For this the women sat in the inner circle, the men in the outer circle. With each encounter, the two poles essential for love – namely the breast of a woman and the lingam of a man – were strengthened. After each encounter the men went on counter-clockwise. Depending on the partner there were various options of activating the magnetic love stream (heart embracement, Yab Yum, energie-breath-circle, lying on top of each other). The instructed way of breathing served to direct all to the experience of the now. Having received amply, everybody was ready to dive into the silence with each other and to consummate the change of the year consciously. Many participants had brought musical instruments along. The new year was very appropriately welcomed with an impressive music improvision and afterwards extensively celebrated with dance, raffle and a glass of champagne.

“In the magnetic stream of love,” the titel of the Tantra seminar of New Year’s Eve 08/09, is where all participants, bit by bit, arrived. The two major Tantra rituals in the evening were key in this. Men treated women with a Tantra breast massage, women thanked with a Tantra whole body massage with many elements from the lingam massage. As the men were led into a beautifully decorated Tantra temple, blindfolded, they weren’t able to recognize their particular “shakti”, but could only sense. Couples decided together whether they wanted to experience the major rituals together or wanted to open themselves for experiences with others.
Tantra on New Year’s Eve in the BeFree Tantra School means three different classes offered each afternoon. Here you see a few results of the ritual called “Body Painting” instructed by Michaela Butsch-Magin:
Further options in the afternoon were Family Constellation according to Bernd Hellinger with Regina Heckert, round table talks with Dinesh Juckoff, film clips taken from talks by Eckhart Tolle (with the kind authorization of Kamphausen Publishing), a get-together at the café and sauna with cooling-off in the snow.
